Everyday Granola

This granola recipe is a take off of Ally’s Dead Sea Granola by Ally’s Kitchen. It is filled with savory spices and sweetened with coconut sugar and dates. I could eat it everyday!

What you need:

4 cups organic oats

1 cup chopped almonds

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

1/2 cup ground flax

1 tsp allspice

1 tsp Chinese 5 spice, add more if you like spice:)

1/4 cup coconut sugar

3 TBSP real maple syrup

1/3 cup avocado oil

4 Tbsp ghee

1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce

Flaky sea salt to top after baking

1 cup chopped dates to top after baking

What to do:

  1. Preheat oven to 300.

  2. In a large bowl combine first ten ingredients with a soon.

  3. Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper.

  4. Pour granola mixture on both sheets and place in the oven for 15-20 mins. After, 15 mins, stir granola and let bake longer if needed. This may be 5 -20 mins more depending on your oven. When the oats on the sides of the pan begin to brown a bit, I know it is done.

  5. Carefully transfer parchment with granola remaining on a safe surface to cool.

  6. Generously shake sea salt on cooling granola and add chopped dates.

  7. When completely cool, transfer to an airtight container

Enjoy. Your body will thank you for it!
